• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Nice ride....

Outside of the trim and anchor I don't see the difference on the boats...:dontknow: soooo....not identical...:lecturef_smilie:

The boats are not identical - for example, the flying bridge on the one with the Evinrude engines is larger and wider than the one with the Evinrude engines. Drag in the air at speed can account for a loss in miles per gallon.

However, if you listen, carefully - nowhere do they say the boats are identical - so if there are lies, they are lies by omission.

Sorry but

I'm not really a boat sortta guy so I would not know a boat lie if it came up and bit me in the poop deck.

I beg to differ...they say at the start " two identical 32 foot center consol boats" still 32 gallons is a lot of difference...:yikes:

Neither boat has a fly bridge.
And at the beginning of the spot it is stated they are identical boats, although no 2 boats are ever identical.

Okay; the Yammi-Boat has twin antennas
Does that patch of gray at the front of the "bridge" on the Evi-Boat look like a screen?

Aero-drag could make up the differences.

I saw the anchor , but since that was on the Evinrude boat I did not discount it from their clam.
They also stated almost 30% so they were covered with that.

The true test would have been if they had weighed the two boats with crew on board to ensure that they were identical.

I have little faith in head to head tests.

I'm no boat expert, but if the yammie powered boat didn't have his trim set in the sweet spot, he would need more RPM's to go the same speed as the other boat. Thus using more fuel.

There's too many variables to insure a accurate and fair comparison.

If they don't have a flybridge, then what is the correct term of art for the duplicate set of controls above the main set? They both have them, and one is bigger than the other, and, as I said, will cause additional drag.

they would be referred to as a tower.
