• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Stallion

yes I have I was in a car/motorcycle show and one of these came in theres no place to store anything on that so called trike owner said you have to have a trailer when traveling to me not worth it very high priced space odyssey looking bike has long front fork don't know how it handles in turns but i'm sure it can't do what the spyder can do.oh by the way I took second in the bike catergory the stallion didn't place at all.

Not wishing to start a controversy, but if you engage a stallion in the swervies you better have your helmet on tight. Without a doubt the best handling trike I've ever driven. Not familiar with Hannigan or road smith. The women were quite taken with the stallion and chased me down for pictures ect. Unfortunately, no one asked for my phone number !! Yes, I own a 2015 rt and very nice trike. Sold my stallion ,because service network was spotty and only found one ford dealer in Oregon who would work on any warranty issues. I had few problems and the factory stood behind their warranty if you could find someone familiar with the trike.

Stallion

Do you remember how much the Stallions weighed? :dontknow:
(Just curious...)

Yes, the stallion weighed about 1700 PDs with options. Interesting, so many people are aware of the capabilities of the stallion but have not owned one or just drove around the parking lot. Many on this forum feel you need 500 to a thousand miles to unlock the potential of the Spyder. I won't go into all the development of the stallion, but it wasn't without engineering or racing background input. After visiting, the factory in Troup, Texas, the team was helpful and demostrated the capabilities of the stallion. Each to his own. Bob, I see where you are going with the power to weight issue. Have a good day.

Slingshot

I was actually looking to compare it's weight; to the SlingShot's...
They appear to be similar.
Thanks! :D

I've looked at the slingshot but did not demo. From appearances not sure how the trike handles . Longer wheel base would appear to improve road manners.

I don't know if you saw it, but one of the magazines DID put one on it's back; after trying to run the slalom with the stability system disconnected. :yikes:

I am on my second Stallion, and while I'm been looking at the Spyder, because the Stallion is no longer in production and service is very hard to find. I love it as a ride, with two hip replacements, bad knees I had to give up two wheels. Trikes didn't really interest me, I saw the Motor Trike transporter on the interstate, they had a Stallion graphic on the side, did some checking and bought one. They have a 2.3 ltr, Ford with auto and drivetrain. Yes it has a steering wheel, so the old school will say it's not a bike, I say I've been from Florida to Colorado to Maine with the wind in what hair I have left, on sunny days and in the rain. The biggest hassel is stopping for gas, everyone wants to ask questions about it. Once when a friend and I came out from a meal stop, a couple had let there kid get into Jeff's Stallion, so they could take little Bobby's picture behind the wheel! I bet that doesn't happen with a Spyder, and I know that I couldn't set the cruise, and enjoy my coffee going down the interstate as easy on a Spyder. But I think I will be on one, by next spring.

Big Dog, we have the same problem that you have with your Stallion. Some HD people say the Spyder is not a bike (it's not, it's a reverse trike), we drive our Spyders all over the place (the hubby (Tobor 9) and I don't have a car anymore), add 10-15 mins - or longer! - for a gas stop (people always ask questions about our Spyders) and many of us have come out of places to find kids or adults sitting or trying to sit on them. And yes, we do have cruise control so we can enjoy our coffee, water, soda or whatever your pleasure - hopefully not alcohol related!!!
