• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ever had a flat - or -blowout ?

Yep.....

Just wondering, if anyone ever had a flat or blowout, like at 50mph or more ? And how that went ?

Actually before BRP solved my tire issue on my 622 trailer...I went thru tires like candy....Amazing how well everything tracked....and yes highway speed.
Now the one that impressed me was 65-70 mph...cruise set...enjoying the sites and not paying attention to the road (no traffic middle of Kansas) and I hit a small boulder (or very large rock, whatever term you like)..hard enough to split the rim and instant flat tire on right front.

I was so impressed (I have lost tires before on cages and had to maneuver the rig to safety)...immediately, instantly the cruise control shut down and I just slowed down (light brake) found wide spot in road and pulled off...Yep I've been bragging about that Spyder "nanny" ever sense..

Not many

I think I have heard of two and both ended extremely well. Nanny does a good job....

Happily, none here. I try to drive with plenty of tread on the tires and also try to avoid road hazards, so far, so good.

I have hit obstacles that jarred my teeth, but the fronts survived and inspected okay later.
I asked about S.L.A.P. before (Sudden Loss of Air Pressure) and got surprisingly few responses. Everyone has a story
about a blowout on their 2 wheeler. .....Spyders? not so much. I think as a group, we are fairly meticulous
about maintaining our pricey toys.

Had a puncture on Rt front on I-40

Just left Gallup and within 5 miles of hitting something on the ramp, my FOBO alert went off, and I pulled off on the shoulder to assess. Pressure had went from 20 down to 10 psi at that time and still quite stable. Put 5 psi back in with a little compressor, and looped back on the frontage road to town, and still rolled well with 8.5 psi in it when we hit town. After putting in a mushroom plug from our Stop n Go kit, and borrowing some air in town, we rolled the rest of the way to Albuquerque that afternoon, and then Pueblo the next day.

Good to hear that others with blowouts have fared well.
