• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ever carried a whole pizza home on the Spyder?

This is a question I have asked to other groups and while I have gotten good advice just never obtained a real solution. To me, pizza is a necessary food group that must be consumed regularly. Looking at all the ingeneous items made for the Spyder, there may be a solution.

Looking for a way to carry a whole pizza or two in its box over a distance of 10 miles or so without modification. The additional requirement is that the toppings must remain on the pizza - those of you that like extra cheese know what I mean - no sliding off, not stuck to the lid.

Delivery is not a option, I'm in a rural area and I would rather ride anyhow! Thanks!!!!

I am REALLY glad that you've asked this question! :2thumbs:
I keep looking at my Diamnond R armrests; thinking that there HAS to be a way to lash a pie down on top of them...
You're right; pizza IS a necessity!

It's comprised of the four major food groups: Tomato sauce, Cheese, crust and toppings!

Stack all 8 pieces of pizza in an orderly stack and gently place them in the frunk, use (as Lamont does) popcorn all around it to stabilize it. Problem solved.

Sorry, you left yourself wide open for that one

Nice try, and I'll give style points for the popcorn but we have a flag on the play (was watching football!)
Thinking you shoud re-read the question.

Sorry, missed the "in its box" part

(Really feel like a dummy, and got flagged to boot)

Buy a trailer, spread hand warmers all over the inside and set the pizza box in carefully, drive home in a safe and slow manner and you get home with a all together pizza, and it is still warm!!!

Do you think that I could talk the MIssus into hanging on to a couple of stacked pizza boxes for a high speed delivery run?? :yikes:

Darn it Bob: You beat me again. I was going to suggest a custom size piece of plywood between the armrests to give a good platform for the pizza box.

"Where there is a will, there is a way" goes a long way to solving the problem at hand.

Good ideas all. Just measured the distance between the rear grips on the RT, and it is almost 27 inches. The rear pad and the curved speaker housings may present a problem because they "curve" topward the front, taking space that would keep the box from sitting flat and only occupying the passenger seat. Guess some experimentation is in order, and since I seem to be out of pizza boxes at the time, well, you know what is coming next....
Pepperoni and extra cheese! Sure wish I could get a good Chicago style pie around here!

Haulin' Pizza

Sounds to me like you will need to get an RS or ST for those Pizza runs. I knew there was another reason why I opted for the GS over the RT when I bought my :spyder2: :roflblack:.

If you have 1, you could use the back trunk shelf made by Diamond R. Being rated to hold about 200 lbs, you could carry a boat load of pizzas home. Also has many areas to use bungees to anchor them down.
