• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thank you Idaho. We are discussing cancelation or postponing or Temple Riders Association Rally in June also. Very trying times.

There is going to be a lot of that. We were going to Deadwood...but that is now on hold until we see what July brings.

A very good idea to check those events before heading out. :yes:

Well, with a lot new Spyders out there and the need for speed and need for Wind Therapy, we'll be waving at each other out there on the open back roads. I just hope that "The Man" doesn't actually close the state borders b'cuz Arkansas has the most twisties.

I've heard a lot of people complain that a rally, concert or some such won't be until late June or July, things will be open then so why is it cancelled? Many events have been cancelled not because there may be future shutdowns, but because there have been and currently are shutdowns and the planning meetings were not able to be held. Folks that have not been in on setting up an event may think the meetings can be held remotely with internet meeting programs, and a lot of planning can be done that way. But there are many things in an event, especially when the participants are mobile as in a motorcycle event, where face to face, boots on the ground contact is needed. A lot of that couldn't happen this year.

No doubt! I live in the Missouri Ozarks just south of Joplin, and there is great riding here, but in Northwest Arkansas running old 71 over the Boston Mountains, around Ft Smith, the Pig Trail and the Beaver Lake/Eureka Springs area are some of our favorite areas to ride.

Germany has canceled Oktober Fest, scheduled for September. Makes me wonder what they know or understand or appreciate that we don't, canceling this far ahead.

Events like this have expenses that need to be paid sometimes far in advance. People need to schedule vacation time and budget money in advance also. With so many people laid off or using vacation time to get thru shut down and living on savings instead of putting it aside for fun. All of this affects the potential pool of possible attendees. Also it is hard to promote an event that may not happen. I was the Rally Master for the 2020 Temple Riders Association Rally. We had all of these problems and even though by June 12 we may be more open, we just couldn't guarantee enough attendance to cover the expenses and so decided to cancel. Very sad for us and I am sure the other rally sponsors and attendees feel the same way. But you just can't do this stuff for large groups of people on the spur of the moment.

Add to list of Event Cancellations;

Laconia, New Hampshire bike week The Worlds Oldest Motorcycle Rally, postponed from June 13-21.

Moved to Aug. 22-30, 2020.
