• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ethanol vs non-enthanol gas

I would like to share an experience and see what others think. I have a 2013 Spyder RT Limited and use only non-ethanol gas. Last weekend I took a trip that covered 700 miles. While on the road, I had to fill up with ethanol gas and did not use a ethanol treatment. Approximately 280 miles into the trip (just after my second fillup) my Check Engine light came on. It stayed on for the remainder of trip. After getting home, I checked for the code that turned on the Check Engine light. The code (1175) indicated that Bank 2 was running rich. The next day, after reading the code, I filled up with non-ethanol gas. After approximately 40 miles, the Check Engine went out. Was this a coincidence or has anyone else encountered a similiar situation?

Don't know..!!

haven't seen anything to the effect. Looks like the computer was happy with the mixture you originally had with non. You altered it and caused the warning. I have always used the regular stuff with an occational sea foam treatment. Even changing the pipe and air system did not cause any change and I don't use a controler. Yours must be sensative but next time they hook up to buds they can check...:dontknow:

I will wait for the xperts on here to really answer your questions. But where do you buy non-ethanol gas at ? The only place I have seen it in the last couple years was at a boat yard. almost all here is 10%. Do not use E-15 if you like your engine.

Of topic: Did you "drive" me in your Huey in VN ?

There are stations out there that sell ethanol free gas. A new WAWA is going in just down the street and their sign is set to list prices of regular, diesel, and ethanol free.

Thanks for posting, but watch out what you are getting. I found only one station within 50 miles of me that had anything higher than 87 octane without ethanol. Spyder will run on 87, but runs poorly. The one station I did find had everything up 93 octane, but is about 40 miles from me. I'd have to be down in that area already to make it economical enough to use it. Will keep looking for something closer...
