• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ESI Scuff Guard Review?

The ESI Scuff Guards work as advertised. I found that the RT's plastic scuff guards worked well enough for me when it came to periodically stretching out my legs on longer trips. The addition of the ESI scuff guards simply protects the existing plastic and offers a better resting point for my feet. I recently installed the ISCI floorboards and found that a combination of the floorboards and scuff guards did the trick for me. Others have gone the full highway peg route and like that option better.

I have had them on my Spyder since last Fall. Easy install and I love the way they look! :2thumbs:
AND...you can rest your feet on them just fine.
Just don't try to apply a lot of weight to them. ie: shifting your body weight or trying to prove how great they are by standing on them. The plastic they are attached to will not support it. Otherwise, well worth the bucks!:2thumbs:

Got a picture with them on the bike here: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/album.php?albumid=1248&pictureid=14823

Great product but with one CAVEAT

These came on TEDDYS 2011 SpyderFest EdDition RT-S & I love them & highly recommend them, with one caveat:shocked: All the hot air from the right side radiator comes right out on your right foot resting on the scuff guard. After 10 minutes, my right foot would be so hot, I couldn't stand to keep it there any more. Got SpyderPops "Missing Air Dam & Cat. shields" & now I use them on every Ryde & I enjoy them allot. As others have mentioned, they are not mounted to the frame, but just covers the plastic fins, with an additional aluminum brace for added support, but still, IMHO, you shouldn't put much weight on them. But as for resting your feet without applying much pressure, they work really well:2thumbs:
