There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. You might just have a bad gear position sensor...
(If the oil level is correct)
Since there are so few miles on the bike; call the dealer, and let them do the "heavy lifting" on this one.
Please let us know what they find!

Curious. ....

Is this the first semi automatic spyder for you..?? does this come and go or is it all the time..?? It is the gear positioning senor but I have found that some are a bit to gingerly on the shifting. If constant by all means get in touch with your dealer...

You are correct. I just got the RT back from dealer Nordride in Mt Morris Mi. Two hours to work on. Nordride rocks. Thanks.

It is my first automatic. Do you have a on going problem? I want to get this straighten out before we go on our trip in July to Colorado.

Try solid shifts. Light touch is confusing to the sensors and sometimes thinks you are between gears. If this is not the case you may have a bad sensor (which have occured)...

Please tell me if I'm wrong but based on reading another thread I thought the shifting was 'electronic', so either the switch made contact or it didn't. So, I would think even a light touch, even if enough to make contact would be a full shift. So I would guess more a sensor or something and not a 'full' push on the paddle?

Edit: Nevermind, sounds like was a sensor and is fixed.

Issues like this is why I prefer the manual transmission. Thought about getting the semi when I bought my 2015. My left foot is a piece of crap, but I often see this type of post and figured I don't need these problems.

 You mean that I was RIGHT?!?

Bad GPS

Just got my 2015 RTL doing scary things loosing drive and flashing NR. Bad GPS, supposedly done on recall but failed! Scary riding getting home and to dealer. Anyone else have this problem.

I have two bad legs and feet. Now, with both knees replaced this past year, now I suppose I should say two bad feet ... the knees are pretty good :D

As a peripheral neuropathy sufferer I don't know if I can trust my feet. I wanted a manual shift but at the last minute changed my mind to the semi-automatic. I did some research on the technology and found the technique used in the Spyder is similar to that used in Porsche and some other "paddle shifted" cars. So I figured I was using proven technology ...

So far so good.

The semi-automatic "Paddle Shifter" is as reliable as the standard edition, they just had some issues with the Gear Shift Sensor being contaminated with some grease or moisture on some models, once it is corrected ................... you are good to go with no problems.
27,000 miles on my 14 RT
18,00 (so far) on my 2015 and no problems except a compressor failure (fixed by PitBull today) covered by warranty.

I Have a new 2015 RT Limited with about 800 miles on it right now. If you have a bad "Gear Box Position Sensor" how many miles on average will it show its ugly head? So far I have had 2 issues with mine since buying it, 1) on the way home from buying it the bike went into limp mode several times saying I had low oil but in reality the level was full. I was going to have the dealer pick the bike up the next day but the issue never came back. The dealer and I figured it was just a sticky sensor from sitting in the showroom for most if the year and finally decided to play nice. The 2nd issue is the instrument cluster having drool marks on the inside of the lens. This just happened since the weather started getting warmer. So far I love the bike but am amazed at the issues that are popping up. These small things are driving me crazy. Not trying to jinx myself but sometimes I think "ok, what's next to go wrong".
