• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Enjoying Spyders on the Bayou

I'm really enjoying the event, meeting new people and reconnecting with old acquaintences. I rode to CruzrJoe's in Bryant, Ark, where he'd said I could stay with him on the way to La. But both his guest-rooms were occupied with others, so I stayed next door with Sheila's sister, Kathy, and her husband, Roy, who also rides a Spyder. I'd been watching the weather reports and was considering turning back to home, but decided to stay another night and visiting Harvey's (Spyderpops) shop for an oil change at a good price. The price turned out to be higher since I learned of all sorts of things LED that I didn't even know I needed!! Funny how that happens. So Wednesday, I rode down to the Bayou event with Joe and three other guys. :yikes:

The vendors are set up in the host hotel parking lot. The host hotel, Holiday Inn Express, is great. I finally got to met Yazz (Joy) at dinner at Spahrs (pronounced "spaaaas"). The company was good and the good was great - fried green tomatoes with a crab roummalade for appetizer (and I should have stopped there), catfish chips with sweet potato fries. Tomorrow we'll be served a catered meal at the host hotel and then there's a crawfish boil at a dealer in Houma on Saturday evening. The registration was today and the weather was much better than predicted. Even if the weather craps out the next two days, I think I'm going to eat well here. :bbq:

Yall have fun & safe one. I had to skip it this year but will catch soon enough.

I wasn't there but I still care! POW /MIA VETS
