• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well I got this engine light and checked the code (Mode,Set & Cancel) the code says PD174 checked oil OK checked temp OK do not hear and issue with the engine running and I have never had this in over 18000 Miles. I have a 200 mi Ride scheduled today and will be reduced to riding in my cage :gaah::gaah::gaah::gaah::gaah:Should I go or should I stay Going to go fill up and see what happens.

Do you mean PO174

If it is P0174, module ME17, System to lean bank 2, injection and fuel system, Check injector and fuel supply system.

Colder this morning,
mabe something with data inputs to computer, fuel management?
Warm it up, fill it up, go home and try after an hour?!
I'm sure ours will chime in soon about your problem.

I'm off to Palmer's, then Rnet's,

Bill

P0174 System too lean Bank 2. Most likely a glitch, but if it occurs again or won't go away, see your dealer. If you have any intake or exhaust system mods, they could be a cause.

You might also want to pose your question in the "general discussion" section rather than Do It Yourself section. You may very well get more responses. Just a suggestion.

I've been having this issue with PO174 AND PO171 for about 3 months now.Its been in the shop 2 weeks and then another 8 days and the codes come and go and the dealer tech doesn't know whats happening. Then the BRP engineers are saying that its nothing and that I'm going to have to live with the engine light and the 171 and 174 codes coming and going.Does anybody have the same issue let me know.

If there are no mods, you have to suspect the fuel supply system (pump and filter), partially plugged injectors, or the ECM. I wouldn't take "Live with it" as an answer. It is neither normal nor common.

Some times I have engine light no codes and then codes no engine and sometimes after a few gas fill ups everything goes away.I use chevron 91 premium gas.

DTC P0174

Have your dealer check as listed.
1---Inspect evap canister purge valve function. 2---Perform EVAP purge valve operational test as per fuel tank/fuel system section of shop manual. 3---If purge valve replaced perform ECM first initialization using BUDS ECM/setting screen. 4---If ECM first initialization is performed GBPS initialization must be done as per Warranty Bulletin 2010-4 procedure. 5---Check injector fuel supply. This TST was updated as of 8-23-2013. Hope this helps. :D
