• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Engine LED Lights Anyone???

Don't have any photos. I have the Wiredux engine light kit with added ground effects lights. Also have the intake light kit and the new dual color run turn strip above the intake. I also have the Wiredux brake/turn LEDs on the rear. Oh, almost forgot, I have the A arm strips too. I have the F3S.

Wife has the run/turn/brake and A arm lights on her RTS.
Awesome.
Added ground effects?
New turn strip above the intake?

The intake are in addition to the engine. I also have some to add once I put the bumpskid on. On our RT I routed a channel in the bumpskid to recess the light strips and give them a little protection. Mine are wired through a separate fuse block with give me six extra circuits. I added a switch in one of the knock-out locations on the left hand side below the seat. This way I can have them on even if the bike is off. I am going to install a small battery meter that has a relay which will de-energize the fuse block if the battery voltage drops below a certain level.

Wow; that is way too complicated for my limited scope of electrical knowledge. :banghead:

Way to go though!!!

Awesome!

So, just curious, why didn't you go with a direct wired setup so you can activate them when the engine is off (when at a show, in a parking lot, etc.)??? Observations?

Thanks.

I'm not a show guy. People see the lights when I turn on the bike and leave the parking lot to go riding. As cool as it looks at night, I really only have them for safety.

Thanks.

No, I understand. I was more or less just wondering for the purpose of options and perspective. Thanks for stopping by!

Well, I decided to go with the WIREDUXLED Engine Light Kit and here's the scoop.

It arrived yesterday and I installed it today in less than an hour. After testing the two strips prior to placing the light strips, everything was lighting up and working fine. After mounting the 2 strips and getting everything in place, I turned the key only to discover that one of the light strips wasn't working.

Long story short, one of the light strips has a short in it at the end where the wire goes into the LED strip. When I move it in to a certain position, it lights up. Ugh!!! :banghead: #frustrating #annoying #projectdelayed

LED lights all the way around.

I purchased a 5M roll of 10mm LED light strip that I plan to wire into the Tail Light harness and mount around the perimeter of my RT-S. Under the bags, floorboards, along the lower cowl, and across the front. When I get it done, I'll post pictures.

Are they directly wired to battery or do they only come on when you start the engine? Any issues with them interfering with any other lighting on your F3? How long have you had that kit installed?

I have the same setup from Spyderpops and you can wire them any way you want, mine are controlled by an app on my phone.
