• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If you have colored LED's lighting up the engine area on your F3, please share here.

- Which color?
- Have them on a switch?
- Source (company, source, etc.)
- Got pics?

Thank you in advance for your time and info.

Stay safe out there!!!

ENGINE LED's

Not an F- 3, but it's all relative. My 2014 RT has very Bright Amber LED's in the front grill area .... inside the front AIR scoops ... inside all the air vents where there are grills ......and the front Grills of the Engine......I made all mine because there was nothing that was anywhere near bright enough for my purpose........A lot of folks saw them at Spyderfest 2016, maybe someone took Pics :dontknow: .......I did Amber because they qualify as MARKER LIGHTS per Fed D.O.T. regs.....Mike

I've got the Wiredux engine bay lights on my F3-S, installed at the 2015 Spyderfest. I have them on the rotating cycle. I don't think I've ever turned them off and they're working just fine. I installed the Wiredux engine bay light on my wife's 2016 F3-T. She, too, has the lights on a cycle. They come on with the key, I believe. They're one of our favorite mods!

Darn, if it only got dark here during riding season. That's why I finally ended up selling my Glo Ryder wheel lights.

When it was dark enough to display the lights, it was getting uncomfortable cold to ride. :sour:

Are they directly wired to battery or do they only come on when you start the engine? Any issues with them interfering with any other lighting on your F3? How long have you had that kit installed?

I can't answer directly because SpyderPops installed them and I didn't watch it being done. But they only come on when the key is on. I've had them since the first or second week in June.

Here are a few. Mix of single color and multicolor

I have it coming off the battery running to a fuse box. So far no interference. I've had them for about 3 months

Thanks for your reply.

Where did you get your setup?
Did it come with the direct wired setup with the inline fuse?

Nice!

Do you have the intake grill LED light kit in addition to the engine light kit, or is all of the light coming through the front grill coming from the engine light kit alone?

OK. Not a direct wire setup. If they can come on when the engine is off, then they would be direct wired to the battery. Thanks!

The intake are in addition to the engine. I also have some to add once I put the bumpskid on. On our RT I routed a channel in the bumpskid to recess the light strips and give them a little protection. Mine are wired through a separate fuse block with give me six extra circuits. I added a switch in one of the knock-out locations on the left hand side below the seat. This way I can have them on even if the bike is off. I am going to install a small battery meter that has a relay which will de-energize the fuse block if the battery voltage drops below a certain level.

Don't have any photos. I have the Wiredux engine light kit with added ground effects lights. Also have the intake light kit and the new dual color run turn strip above the intake. I also have the Wiredux brake/turn LEDs on the rear. Oh, almost forgot, I have the A arm strips too. I have the F3S.

Wife has the run/turn/brake and A arm lights on her RTS.
