• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Got this code today after I had to brake hard for a car pulling out in front of me. Bike ran great before and after the fault. Code possibly not true? Can I clear it??

thanks

BRAKE CODE

If it cleared quickly , I'm guessing your fluid may be on the Low side of full .... and the surge ( from hard braking ) cause dit to flash a code ..... The sensor for the amount of brake fluid is imho overly sensitive to the amount needed in the container ..... Mike

P0171

P0171 is a engine lean code in the automobile world. better have it looked at before engine issues

Let's see....

The code you mention is for bank one running lean. It also talks about the ecm and computer communicating with the vss. Have had this before for similar reason but once you shut down and remove the key letting the computers reset it clears and will be stored. I think sudden movements mess with the computers minds..:roflblack:

It sounds more like a sensor issue than a computer issue. The computer is just responding to what the sensors send. Technicality I know but attending to the sensor and its asset is probably a better first step than trying to figure out the computer.
