• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

End of year 2015 with Extended Warranty Promotion Question

Question for anyone who took advantage of the End of Year 2015 extended warranty promotion offered by BRP:

Were they offering a 3 Year Extended Warranty (2 year Factory plus 1 year extend for a total of 3 years)

Or

Was it a 2 year factory plus 3 year extended warranty for a
total of 5 years?

Only looking for answers from those who are sure and not those guessing.

I know the promotion is over just trying to get a clear answer before I press my dealer.

I just received my warranty paperwork from BRP and even though I bought it in Jan. 2016 for some reason it shows it expires in APRIL of 2019. How they got April as an end date is a mystery (39 months) Seems it should end at in Jan. 2019 (not complaining if it is supposed to be 36 months).

Thanks

The promotion was 2 years standard factory warranty plus one addition year covered under B.E.S.T plan which has a $50.00 deductible.

I purchased a 2015 RT Limited Spyder on 10/21/15 with standard 2 year factory warranty plus the BRP promotional 1 year additional which they call B.E.S.T Plan ( BRP Extended Service Terms). Received letter from BRP dated 12/10/15 stating "both coverage will be valid until April 30, 2019" which is 3 years and 6 months.

Did you buy a demo? If so, there's the answer.

The warranty clock starts when a dealer puts the Spyder in Demo mode.

Was the factory 2 year plus 1 year extended. It is typically BEST but certain states like Florida have whacky warranty rules and can't get BEST here so I got essentially 3 year factory BRP warranty no deductible.

I bought my 2014RTS-SE6 (brand new) on July 30,2014 and I have a 3year warranty, the regular warranty expires on 8/5/16 then the B.E.S.T kicks in until 8/5/17 with a $50.00 deductible.

I got this info from my can-am dealership ( sent to me via email). Deanna

Looking at my warranty .... I got 2 year factory + 1 year BRP promotional, equals 3 years.
And cause it's a new bike with all the electronic "gizmo's" as standard, I chose to pick up a 3 year extended warranty for $1299.00

Total of 6 years :D

I don't ever .... pick up extended warranties, but peace of mind in this case was important. To me anyway.
