• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Empty Switch

I'm removing parts for painting and also adding some Cool Magic Lights. I want to use the empty switch with the same switch as I have for the fog lights. I found the underside of the switches have a connector for each, even one for the empty spot and the weird thing is, it has wires!!

Any ideas what those wires for the dummy switch are for/from?

Thanks

I will be watching this also. Wouldn't it be nice if all the accessories came "pre-wired" on the Spyder--and only needed a button added to activate them? :dontknow:

My ST is the same way. It is already prewired for accessories. Of course one is always for the parking brake. The others are heated grips, fog lights and rear air suspension. The funny thing is the air suspension is not an option on the ST, yet mine seems to have all the wiring for it. (At the switch and in the rear.)

When I took my ST into my dealer to reset my indicators after replacing our big bulky paddle type ones with the same as you get on your Spyders, which when I did the same on my RSS all the dealer had to do was connect his computer and change the Amps from 10 to 21. But the ST is not like the RS/RSS when you connect to computer, all characteristics are of an RT, so yes all the extra bits will be there, which will come in handy if adding things later on. I actually found out that you could probably fit the RT Air Suspension to the ST.
