• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Emissions Question

I am actually selling my Spyder. The buyer is in CA. The DMV told him it has to be certified for CA. I'm so confused at this point. Why would BRP have a sticker that says it is legal in the US if it is not legal in CA. I have seen stickers thats specify 49 state, not legal in CA. Legal in the US to me means legal in all 50 states.

That's what it means. That would qualify for CA certification. All you should need is the 50 state sticker.

California air resources board? Really? Look, no disrespect to Sabrina is meant here but, the air resources board has zip to do with ●vehicle registration. At best if you called them and actually got through to anything other than a recorded message, they would certainly refer you to the DMV.
I live in Ca too. It is true. You can't register it if it has less than 7,500 miles on it. This is a totalitarian government we have here. Vehicle emissions laws, light bulb laws, grocery bag laws, hand washing laws, smoking in your own home laws, sleeping on the beach laws, anti-puppy selling laws (no joke), car washing laws, on and on and on...so, make sure you can register a veh BEFORE you buy it.

oh don't forget the ammo laws, the lawn watering laws, not to speak of the dog poop laws.

Ca DMV registration requirement - emission cert.

California law prohibits California residents or businesses from importing and/or registering a new vehicle with less than 7,500 miles at the time of purchase ●unless it meets● California emission standards
