• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ELKA'S on the RT-S

I just had the Elka (300 lb) shocks as suggested by Lamont installed on my RT-S. They were set at 9". All I can say is WOW!!!!!! There is a world of difference. With that said I think it appropriate to describe

I'm 6' and weigh 195 lbs, (give or take a few). My wife is 5'5" and weighs 118 lbs. 85% of my riding time is single. 15% is with my wife or grandchildren on the back. 80% of my riding is around town and since I live in Flarda, there aren't very many "twisties". I guess the sharpest turns are when I'm trying to "beat the changing of a light".
My riding style is not all that aggressive although at times my wife beats me over the head.

When I rode on our brick streets in Sanford, Florida, I could not believe the difference in smoothness and lack of vibration that I had experienced with the factory shocks. Additionally, there was not the dipping sensation that I had experienced. My wife noted the same.

I truly recommend to all RT-S owners that they seriously consider purchasing the Elka 300 lbs shocks. Although they are expensive, they really serve their purpose.

On a side note. I now have a set of factory RT-S shocks that I don't need. If anyone wants them for their RS, you can have for free. Just take care of the shipping.

Not sure of the time zone in Katy but I am in PST and sent a PM to Chris at 7:15 Local time. As soon as I saw the posting I sent a PM, then went to the thread a few minutes later and posted my response.

I really didn't realize what kind of a monster I had created with the offer. Save it to say that I have had some responses. I will give them to the person who sent the first response. In the event shipping is too costly (and I have no idea what it is), then I will move to the next in line.

Each individual sent me a hyperlink for their email address to get back to them. I'll be doing that today. I'll also let you know the exact time posted on my end what was listed as the sent time.

Lamont? I hope I didn't violate any forum rules doing this. I thought since it was a "give away" versus selling something, that this was appropriate. Please let me know otherwise?

Not at all, that's really cool of you to do that Bro. :doorag:

:agree: Chris is a class act for sure. Will have to look at those for my baby. I know what it's like riding the brick streets of Central Florida.

I have always considered the first one to reply to the OP's thread with their post the first in line. That way the entire forum gets to see who posted and the time posted. The PM would only be for sending private info. Be interesting to see how this turns out. :f_spider:

Just wanted to say a public thank you to Chris for his generosity. The shocks were in my mail today and will go on tonight. These just may be an intermediate step to Elka's or Penske's and if that happens I will be sure to pass these on at no charge and, in Chris' spirit, I will pick up the shipping.
