• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello Folks,

Wow!!! What an event !!! I was kinda wanting to jump on stage on Saturday night to give my thanks in person, but I failed public speaking and would have probably made an arse of myself ( plus the fact that Len was doing such a great job of entertaining us), so here it goes:

There are a few people that I would like to thank for everything that was done to make me feel welcome to your Spyderfest.

1) Lamont: Thank you for being such a good embassador for Elka, and for sharing all your fantastic stories with me. Without you and this wonderful website, I truly believe that Elka would not be where it is today within the Spyder community.

2) Docdoru: Another great Elka embassador...despiter being an absolute wildman...or should I say Huligan? ;) I enjoyed speaking to you, and also appreciate all you do to promote our products.

3) The entire Mo Gang: For organizing such a great event and for being the glue that held the house together. Simply amazing work !!

4) All Elka riders: A big thank you for trusting our products and making the jump. There are alot of options available to you to improve on the suspension for your Spyders, but you have trusted in our products enough to spend your hard earned dollars on us. Thank you very much!!

last but not least...

Len @ Cowtown: You my friend are one of the hardest working people I have ever met. I did not hear you say "no" to one person the entire weekend, and you constantly went way above and beyond what was necessary to accomodate. I never imagined that I would be installing Elka shocks in your personal garage at 11:00pm on a Saturday night to make sure that a customer left the event happy the next morning. If you can somehow bottle your drive and determination and sell it, well damn it I want to buy some !!!

I dont know if its the drinking water at Cowtown, but all of the Cowtown staff were just as determined to be accomodating, and I cannot be more grateful to them as well.

If you will have me, I would be more than honored to be at Spyderfest 2012 so I can take in more of that Cuba/Cowtown hospitality. You are number :firstplace: in my books.

deepest regards,

John @ Elka Suspension

It was good to get to spend some time with you at Spyderfest. As you can see SpyderLovers are one big family and you are part of the fam. take care Bro :doorag:

You clearly have a superior product and its only a question of time until I add hardware from you.. thanks for your participation

John, once agin you are being far too kind. It was my great pleasure to get to meet you and hang out with you, we were busy but still got to spend some time with you. Looking forward to having you and Elka shocks back next year in a big big way! I do belive in your product and its easy to sell from both the quailty to the preformance! Elka shocks ROCK and you do to my brother, thanks for being willing to come back and be part of Spyderfest U.S agin:2thumbs:

Well since I couldn't be there (damn damn double damn hell)

I would like to know who you gave my cup to. :joke: :joke: :roflblack:

Was nice to see you in person and thanks for adjusting/lowering/"faster in the curves" front suspension = ready for Deal's Gap 2011. In 4,000 miles I'll have 100,000 miles on Elka's stage 3...

Any Elka shock promos/discounts still floating around after spyder fest ;) very interested in a pair.

John, I installed your shocks on my RT about a month ago. I will say, and have told many Spyderlovers, that the improvement in handling goes beyond description. I am still getting used to the changes. Thanks!
Rudy

I'm not yet a convert, but John was reat to meet and talk with at the Wagon Wheel BBQ!:thumbup:

:clap::clap: and thank you for participating and demonstrating your product!:clap::clap:

Was great that you were able to come and join in with the fun :2thumbs:

John, I would like to thank you for taking the time to collect the serial numbers off my shocks and call your shop to get the exact spring specs for me, then taking even more time to listen to my story and personally check and adjust my shocks. And BTW - your adjustments were right on the money..Thanks again.

John: Again I would like to Thanks you and Len for the Midnight Shock Installation. I cannot believe the improvement in the handling. It handled 60mph crosswinds without any problems. It is worth every penny. This should be the first modification made to every Spyder RT. OH, I have a few pictures to send you....LOL

I ordered at the event from Cowtown. What promo or discount did I miss? I just paid for the shocks plus shipping.

I have a Phantom so the covers would hide the chrome and fit my bike's style alot better. Unless they are available powder coated.

Being that I was one of the lucky five who got the SpyderFest Limited Eddition (sic) RT's, I can't tell how much your shock's improved the handling. What I can say is that my new RT is a dream to ride. It handles and corners so much better than my RS it's hard to believe they are even related. Thanks John. It was a pleasure having my display next to yours and talking with you at the Vendor Village. I look forward to seeing you there next year.

Ride in comfort,

John

I want to thank Elka for giving a set of front shocks for a passport run prize at Spyderfest (which I happened to win). I just put them on yesterday and they make a huge difference in the handling of the Spyder. I've only been up and down the road on them as of yet but I know they'll be a big upgrade. I had about 34k miles on the stock shocks and the bushings were starting to break down so it was time for a new set.
