• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My name is John and I work for Elka Suspension. We did previously have a rep. log on here to represent us but he is history so I thought it would be wise to chime in.;)

Since the change here we have kind of neglected the forum and I will be the new guy...:helpsmilie:...to offer any assistance possible for any technical enquiries or concerns about our products and services. I know that Lamonster and Matt from Kewl Metal have done a good job taking care of us on this forum, but I thought an "official" Elka guy couldn't hurt. :chat:

P.S. By the way, I am the new guy here but I have been with Elka for about 5 years or so, and am the goofball that is responsible for the motorcycle product dealings. I am an avid rider, and certainly understand your passion, as I spend countless of hours figuring out how I am going to hide my latest upgrade spending from my wife for my bike.

As for discounts, well we do not offer any discounts here at the factory as we do have a dealer network to respect, and if we discounted the product, dealers would be hesitant to promote and sell our products.

However, for the best sales and service possible for your Elka product, you need to contact Pitull Powersports in MO. They are a forum vendor and sponsor, and they will be more than happy to get you taken care of.

If the price is the same everywhere, and the shocks are custom set up per riders specs, isn't it just easier to order direct from the manufacturer?

well....It could be, but Pitbull is the only factory authorised Elka Spyder shock dealer to offer discounts to Spyderlovers members.

I would definitely contact him, as he has enough product in stock to cater to custom requests.
