Just wondering, is everybody that purchased Elka shocks think they are worth the money, or have any buyers remorse ?

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yes had them on all my brp bikes. And now on my 2014 RTS alog with Ron's bars and this elks and bar makes the bike drive a great free spaceship . Get them will not be disappointment at all.. Just do it .???..

The only thing I regret about buying mine is not doing it from the start. Right now my Spyderpops skid plate is all scared up because the factory shocks are not up to the task if your a bigger guy. I bought the Elkas setup for the weight of me and my wife and they made a huge diffrence in the handeling, worth every penny!

There are other options. The problem with the factory shocks are the springs are too weak. You can read here to see other lower cost options:

Note the comment on the skid plate, then go out and look at the bottom of your frunk, if you are bottoming out a lot, your underside will be scratched up. If you are really stressing out the front springs, it will be particularly bad. Adding a skid plate further reduces the space between the underside of the frunk and ground. If you have not addressed the weak factory springs, your skid plate will really take a beating.
I am surprised a Can Am rider hasn't blown up their front end hitting something on the road given how low the front is for some riders out there.
Take the advise 3 wheel Addict's advise to address your front (and rear) shock needs first before adding a skid plate.

Rode one year without them then tried a friends RT and was sold. Saved $ over the winter and had them installed at Spyderfest in Cuba. Played with the set up a little and was very happy. Then added Ron's sway bar and the ride and handling jumped up a few more notches. Rode another friends RT without the Elka's while he rode mine. At the end of the ride he knew and I knew that the my set up was superior. He is now debating new shocks and bar or new RT. Waiting for his decision.

I had Elkas on my 2010 RT-S and I thought they were well worth the $$$$.

I loved my Elka s on my 2012 RT but I am not convinced they are necessary on my 2014 RT.. so far I am very impressed with the new shocks. I am adding the sway bar next week as a precaution but will hold off on any other shocks than the new stock models... I have ridden nearly 5000 miles on the stock shocks now in all types of terrain...

:agree: I agree! Had Elkas front and rear on my 2012 RT-S, along with Baja Ron's bar, and they were well worth the money spent, but with the new 2014 RT-Limited, and Baja Ron's sway bar already installed, I'm not sure the Elkas would improve the way it's handling at this time. We'll see how it goes after my first long road trip.

I have a 2012 rt and had Baja Rons sway bar put on at 2013 Spyderfest. I was told that I would not need the Elkas shocks with this new sway bar. Planning on having the laser alignment done this year if it is being offered at Spyderfest. Does the shocks and sway bar REALLY make that much of a difference?

Thanks for all the positive comments on the Elkas ; confirmed what I was thinking so I went ahead and ordered them today. Already have Rons sway bar so now looking forward to an even BETTER ride experience.
