There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oh, and John at Elka just tightens them Down as much as he reasonably can by hand. It's also what they did at spyderfest, I'm told.

Install the front right shock first.........the left one is a bugger. When you take the bolts out on the left front OEM, wrestle it out, replace with the Elka then reverse the way the bolts go back in on the Elkas. Makes getting the bolts in easier. I had john from Elka on line and it was his suggestion. Worked very well.

Honda East is my local Spyder dealer. I've had very good results working with them. That said, I have not used there web site. I usually only deal with one of the parts guys, he has treated me well. I'll have to check and see what he knows about the Elka shocks when I get over next time I'm nearby.

Hey, Flybuddy I am still waiting for my Elka shocks as well. I have no problem getting answers through email or phone from Honda East Toledo. I feel bad since I recommended them because of the price, they were over 200.00 cheaper then Cowtown even with the Spyderlovers discount. When I called Cowtown they told me it would be 3 to 4 weeks and to keep calling back. East Toledo also said 3 to 4 weeks and next week will be 4 weeks so they are still within the estimatated time frame. With the money I saved I can do another mod!!
Sounds like you need to lay off the guitar and start building more Stage 1+ Elkas...hyea:

Well, we though we had plenty of product for Spyderfest and we got caught with our pants down, but we should have plenty of product onsite at S.I.T.A. with free installs !!

Ok Im not sure who you are, but I'm calling this one out, who did you speak with that said keep calling back?!?! And 200.00 cheaper I'm seriously doubting this! Any ways something doesn't seem right, smell right, or act right here..... Trying to get to the bottom of this one!
This is not how I do bizz, and I repeat NOT how I do biz, elka or Spyder customers/ friends when dealing with me I take my best possible care of you..... Way way out of the norm here, I'm not saying we are the cheapest!!! Heck I don't want to be the cheapest, I want to take the best care of peolpe, help set there product up the best, and get them to you the quickest, plus stay with you till the end..... Their on your happy and then the sale is complete..... Plus I want to countinue to sell elkas, selling them at below cost will get you in trouble with both elks and the bank :thumbup:
