• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Elka shocks

Last year(october) , I put the Elka 3-way+Hyd. preload rear shock on my 2009 sm5. I wanted to be able to adjust for the "squat" of the rear when carrying a passenger. I had ordered the shock just a little to late to give it a workout on the way to Lamont's BBQ. We really didn't bottom out too much, but now know this shock will do the job and fix the issue.

Now I plan on putting a pair of Elka 1-ways on the front(w/o remote).
Here's the question, does anyone know anything about "Moto World Online"?
I know pricing from Elka and a sponsor on Spyderlovers, & something seems suspect?! Maybe just a come on to get ya to call and check pricing? Some pricing is right , and some too low.
Look forward to hearing from those who might know.

PS: For the record, I would much prefer that members here support site sponsors such as Cowtown or Kewlmetal who are both Elka dealers.

Elka Shocks

I have installed 2 1-way shocks on the front of my 2010 RT. The ride has been great:D. The only question I have is how does the customer make adjustments of the preload and/or damping. I can see how to make the adjustments but I don't see how you know what your dialing in. I think I heard Lamonster say that the Preload should be 300lbs. How do I know when I get to 300:dontknow:

Hello Bootie,

What Lamont is refering to is the spring rate in the front. The spring that should be on your shocks are 300lb/ inch springs.

If you will be attending Spyderfest, I will be there to answer any questions, discuss setups and give a crash course on suspension as well.

OR

You could always just call me at the office 1-800-557-0552 ext 257 and I will be more than happy to answer all of your questions.
