• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Elka shock explanation

I see Lamonster and others sell Elka Shocks, stage 1 through 5. What is the difference between the stages besides the price. I tried to search the forum and the Internet but did not find any useful and I know the SpiderFolks here know their stuff. Thanks in advance.

The difference is in adjustability mostly! Most people will never need more than a stage 2, unless you are a racer. I watch a video on Lamonster when he was starting in selling the line, and of coarse he is going to try the best, even he admitted that the Stage 2 was the most bang for the buck, for most riders! I put a set on the front of mine this year and are VERY pleased with them, and if the air bag ever blows up, the rear will get one also!!

IMHO The biggest difference between the Stage 2 (rebound adj) and the higher stages is the addition of compression adj. Stage 3 and up require tuning skills most of us do not have so the extra cost will likely not produce better results without a 3rd party tuner.
