• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Elka at S.I.T.A !!

Looking into things.... thinking of riding up on Wed... then have to leave back home on Sunday. About 800 miles from my place to get there.

Wouldn't mind scooting over to Mount Washington Road one day..... missed doing that last year and have regretted it.....

Are you guys registered and doing all the official stuff?

I'd probably just play it all by ear as to what I'd do. Not into big group rides.. but small groups would be fine......

To be honest Dan........ getting any kind of info on this event has been a struggle, to put it lightly. nojoke

If you read the other forum you will see for yourself how difficult it is to get any kind of plans made with these organizers. I don't want to sound unappreciative, but If this event was not in my backyard I would be saying alot more of my true feelings. If it wasn't for a member here (Kawakii) there would not even be any vendors there.

We are going to the Tail O Pup gathering on Thursday to see our Spyder friends, but friday we don't know what we are doing with the groups rides because like you I'm not fond of large groups going real slow and another thing is, there are no details posted yet on what is even going on (this event is less than a month away).

Let me know if you are arriving on Wednesday and I'll PM you my number because Holly and I will be there on Tuesday.

Okay-- thanks for the info....then there certainly isn't any reason to spend $25 and register if it's that disorganized. Just want to get some more miles in and visit with some Spyder peeps....

Tail o The Pup?? :D Great place to start the grazing... :2thumbs: We stop there anytime that we're lucky enough to find it open!
(Just down the road a bit is the Grand Union store... Across the road is a Mobil station that's actually got some pretty decent coffee!)

Which Elka do I need

Hello Folks,

I am happy to announce that Elka Suspension will be attending the Spyders in the Adirondacks event in Lake Placid New York from August 9[SUP]th[/SUP] to the 11[SUP]th[/SUP]. We will be selling, installing, and tuning product on site at the event.

I will be joined by none other than Len Damouth for the event, so don’t be shy to come by and see us !!

In addition, we will be raffling off 1 set of Stage 1+ shocks at the event as well, so we hope to see you there !!

Regards,

John @ Elka

John, just received email from Sebastien recommending the Stage 5 front shocks. I haven't heard of anyone trying these but Lamonster. My riding is aggressive and a lot of twisties. Not sure how much adjustment I want to be doing once installed. Will I notice a difference between the other Elka shocks for my 2012 RT Limited? Usually ride 1-up. 235 lbs
