• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am doubting that if it was invested that it went to a good place. :roflblack:

I actually have a meeting with them today to discuss the torque and fastening strategies for there production. I work with a tooling company that provides fastening tooling and strategies for the automotive industry I'm curious to see where they are only time will tell.

The cynic might think that at some future SEC fraud trial it would help to be able to point to the sale of a 100 units as indicating a sincere attempt to fulfill their contracts.

(Noting that Tesla has about 325,000 deposits on their Model 3...)
How many deposits for cars, did Paul Elio collect? :dontknow:

"Unofficially" of course. They are working to launch June 19 2017. They plan to produce 23 units between December and June. Caveat is that the motor hasn't been fully designed :dontknow:.general assembly would be built in the Shreveport LA. "Rumor" is Pizza Hut has inquired about 30,000 cars for delivery cars..

A couple things of note, since we are still on the Elio subject:

:ani29:: The engine was supposed to be up an running in February of 2014. They had a big promotion about it and it went by the wayside.

:ani29:: If they can't even build 100 prototypes, how the heck are they going to build 30,000 vehicles for Pizza Hut? I would be very skeptical of having one of "those" vehicles, untried and untested in my delivery fleet.

:bbq::bbq::bbq:

Anyone want to buy a bridge or some ocean front property in AZ? :roflblack::roflblack:

If Elio can pull this off and keep the selling price at say $12K (not the Premium Garden Tractor price of $6.8K) they might very well might be viable but they still have crash testing, emissions and other safety hurtles (hurdles?) to overcome.

BTW, How does the Elio qualify for auto status and the Slingshot doesn't?

BS o meter off the scale on that one. There are right at 6000 Pizza Hut locations in the US. Many are not Pepsico company owned and very few have ANY company owned delivery vehicles. Do you really think Pepsico is going to purchase FIVE unproven vehicles for every one of its locations? Even those that do not have company owned delivery vehicles? Think about this stuff before you pass along dumb rumors intended to perpetuate this scam that has as its sole purpose to milk eco weenies out of there money.
