• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Electronics-savvy vendors other than Motorcycle Dave?

I've tried enlisting Motorcycle Dave to be a vendor and workshop speaker at our next Ryde-In (Globe,AZ March 16-18) but he's unavailable. Are there any others I might consider asking? I'd like to have someone at each Ryde-In who can address some technical aspect of Spyder ownership and ryding; in Tombstone Sierra Cycles did two workshops on oil changes, etc..

Thanks.

Tried TricLED yet. They do a lot of electrical installs. Safety upgrades etc?
I was thinking more along the lines of Bluetooth communications and GPS. SpyderLyter Fred came from Florida to do the actual sales and installs of LED lighting and accessories at Tombstone, and has agreed to come to Globe also. I got several questions about Bluetooth communications / integration I couldn't answer, so I immediately thought of Dave but he has other obligations at that time unfortunately.

It doesn't actually need to be a vendor of electronics but someone who is comfortable conducting a workshop and wouldn't mind volunteering their time and expertise.

Sena???

Pete, I'm trying to get a Sena Rep name/contact to see if they would have any interest. I picked this because so many Spyder riders have Sena units. I'll let you know if anything develops and I'll pass the info/contact on to you. It's your decision, just trying to help.

That would be terrific, particularly if they also understand the Spyder's BT connectivity issues. Thanks Rob.

See if finless will be able/willing to come.
Does anyone have Finless Bob's contact info? I've sent a PM but I don't know when he will next be on the forum (he's got a number of interests, not just Spyder electronics). PM me with his email or phone number if you have it. Thanks.

Kicking and Screaming......

I was honored and very pleased to have been asked to come out for the event....
However, Julie and I have NOT been on a real vacation for about 6 years so this year
Julie is going to DRAG ME, Kicking and screaming to Hawaii for just short of a month,
leaving Feb 14th. return Mar. 11th. We have family there on the Big Island.
BUT FEAR NOT, I will have my iPad and iPhone with me so I can and will respond to you all,
and will ship as usual same day I have a very good crew at the shop that can do it.
again thanks for asking me,
but you know how it is
when your wise says jump all you can do
is say how high....

Dave, Amen Brother, Amen, Happy Wife, Happy Life. Two of the smartest words I taught all three of my sons "Yes Dear" creates waaaaayyyy more peaceful responses than what we really want to say sometimes....

Enjoy your trip, Dave and thanks for all you do for us SpyderLovers. There will be other opportunities I'm sure.
