• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Electrical Question

I purchased a small volt meter that has a positive and negative wire (picture below) and want to hook it up today. I pulled the front dash with the fuel and temp gauge and put the positive on the light wire of the fuel gauge and can't find a good ground hook up. I touched the ground wire to several screw holes behind the dash and also to two of the nuts on the back of the fuel gauge with no luck. If I touch the ground wire to the ignition switch where the key goes in, it will work. I have the ignition on as the light wire works off of ignition, but am really confused why I can't get a good ground anywhere behind the dash. Would one of the other 3 wires running into the fuel gauge work as a ground even thought I tried the nuts on the back of the gauge. Suggestions appreciated, I want to finish this today. Thanks. I thought I knew a little about wiring, but this one has me stumped, call me stupid.

On the Cluster, the Orange wire is the positive and the Black Wire is your ground. Just attach your meter wires to these and when you turn the ignition on your volt meter will give you a read out.

Thanks again, love this website, never a long wait for an answer. It is hooked up and really looks great, I mounted it directly below the main screen, picture does not do it justice. It has red, green and yellow lights and blends in perfectly. It anyone is wondering, the object above it is a TPMS (tire pressure monitor system) that is for a trike, shows air pressure on all three wheels. I have used these for years and they work great. You put in the high and low air pressure numbers that you want and also high temperature pressure. When any of the tires reach any of these parameters the unit flashes, beeps and changes colors. Unit is wireless, just screw the sensors on the valve stems, velcro the unit on the dash and you are done.
