• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

the one from tricled the key must be on other wise why would you need it. when you shut the bike off i believe you have about 15 seconds to use it other wise you have to use the key or just turn the key on. you do not have to start the bike. Do you have enough room under their to unplug the computer connector?

That is correct, I've done that mod and found it a very easy install. Plenty of room to unplug and replug the computor connector.
Best of all, no more hassles when Shirley decides that there's something she absolutely has to have or forgot to put in the trunk as we're warming up the :spyder2: and getting ready to go.

Nice job!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I bought some parts awhile ago to do this but never got around to it---- back on my list of things to do--- but I'll wire mine as HOT all the time so I can open the trunk without power to the bike-- will just put the switch in a more inconspicuous place.

I've got the one from tricled and the ignition does not have to be on to activate the release. I wired mine to the PC-8 (unswitched circuit) and I have the switch hidden (somewhat). Guess what; if someone wants to get into the trunk, they will.

I have it wired so the switch is always active in case I accidentally forget to take the key out of my coat and put the coat in the trunk.

:thumbup: That's not a bad idea.

Very nice :thumbup: clean install.

I bought a trunk release with a key fob, will be able to open the trunk any time as long as I have the remote. (if I ever get around to installing it)

I thought about that but when i take my bike on getaways i sometimes bring my laptop and lock it in there.
