• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I figured I'd better keep a thread where I can update my upgrades and mods (inspired by BAM). Haven't done much yet (only had for a week though to be fair), other than switching the Ufit linkage myself to +2 (setting 5).

Due to being 230lb 6'1" moving my license plate to below the seat isn't an option at the moment. I will be looking at a spring / shock upgrade (rear). I am not mechanically inclined so I will be following BAM's lead on the shock. But I decided to try modifying the rear fender license plate to give more visibility to that monster rear tire :) Took a whole lot longer than I anticipated. I am posting before and after pics.

I considered just removing the fender altogether and making a template that lines up with the 9 different screw locations to create a back for the side facing the wheel, and than I realized why make a template when I have a perfectly good one on the inside of the fender, so brought out the Dremel and away I went. Took awhile to cut the template out and than to clean up and polish the edges.

My next mods will be Paint or Wrap, Madstad windshield (most likely), rear shock upgrade off the top of my head.

April 22nd, 2015 Update

Had a little warm weather last few days and decided to take the side panels apart and plasti-dip the grey fog light surrounds.

I also had the Heated Hand Grips installed last week.

April 22nd, 2015 Update 2

Almost forgot added the BRP 12v USB kit. I assumed this kit would have all the wiring required to make it plug and play which is why I paid the crazy amount they asked for it, but there is no wiring at all and still had to make a trip to Home Depot for the connectors. My advice to all those that are going to do this project, save the money and buy the plug adaptors from ebay or amazon for less than 10 bucks. The toughest part is finding the cable under the left service panel, it is covered in black tape and zip tied to a larger black cable.

I hear ya on that! It wasn't until I took the top console panel off that I could find that user accessory cable. I pretty much didn't believe the owners manual up to that point!

Madstad

Received the Madstad windshield today, and had it completely installed in under an hour. Great instructions, a ton of pictures, it left nothing to guesses. I went with the Dark Grey tint (20" size). I am 6'1" and at it's lowest setting my eye level is about 2-3" above the top of the screen, so Madstad sizing chart on their site is bang on. Took it for a ride ride right after install and the difference is unbelievable. Without the screen I used my full face and the wind will be pulling my head up and back, with the screen, I'm using my 3/4 with the visor up and just using the built in shades with ZERO pull. There is a nice light breeze coming up below the screen but NO gusting at all, just as Madstad promised (and it is damn windy up here today). Couldn't be happier.
