Economical Highway Pegs or Boards

Hi all,

Im 6' with a 33 inch inseam. Im trying to find out whats the most economical and best solution to add highway pegs or boards so I can relax my legs.

Does anyone have some solutions that work for them? I looked at the ISCI products and they are nice but steep in price.

We have sold a huge number of these and people really like them quite a bit.

I have bad knees and a hip that gets bad cramps o n a stock Spyder. Without these on our Spyders I would never be able to ride very long at all myself.

Lamonster has had a set on his Spyder for almost 50K miles now.

I am unsure where your price point might be. I just put a set of the SFB floor boards on today. I have only used them for an hour or so and I really am very happy with them.

They are $399 -- look beautiful -- work even better than they look -- and it only took a (non-mechanic) friend of mine 10 minutes to install them.

Bill, I have been thinking of the SFB floorboards for some time. But at $359.00, I don't want to order something I don't like. My biggest concern is when your right foot is resting on the floorboard, your foot is under the brake pedal. In a panic or even an unexpected stop looks to be a problem getting your foot around the brake pedal and on top of it. It that a problem, or is the position of your foot not as it looks.

If you are unwilling to relocate your foot during periods when it is safe to do so, you have no alternative to the existing peg -- unless you are going to install a hand brake.

I have only had these in for a day and I love them. I ride with my feet on the flats unless and until I am nearing traffic or other reasons to brake.

Actually I keep my left foot down more than up as I have an SE5.

And, the price is $399, not $359, plus shipping -- unless there is a deal I did not find online.

Only disadvantage so far is that the right foot on the flat is in the path of the heat coming off the engine. Does not seem to be an issue so far when moving along, but it may be worse when the hot weather hits.

This why I haven't purchased. I'm one of those that needs my foot near the brake pedal or I'm not comfortable.
