Thnks for your replies, they called me today and said that after additional testing and talking to BRP, it was determined that it is a bad ignition coil, and the ECM is OK, now I have to wait for the part
Just finally heard back from the dealer. Bad ECM on SM 08. Part on order but on back order with no ETA. So know I wait.
am I the only :spyder2: Owner that thinks this should be a "recall" issue ... so many others have had the same issues and problems that it warrants a "recall" IMO
My dealer got it right the first time, even though the code pointed to a bad coil also:The dealer installed ignition coil and the problem is still there, now it's time to replace ECM, when will that happen??? Saw the new Honda VFR 1200f yesterday with auto transmission. That is a one cool bike!!!. Might consider going with that or a harley trike if the Spyder continues to misbehave
