EBD Fault

I was ryding down Rte 66, got hit by a blast of wind and the bike went into LM with aN EBD Fault on the display. Limping down the highway to a wide spot I reset the computer by flipping the switch 3X and removing the key for a minute. Started up and there was no problem on the rest of the trip. So what the heck happened?
