• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

EBD FAULT BRAKE FAILURE CODE 2015 F3 SM6 530 miles

So on my way back from a 70 mile ride (still breaking in) and after braking, my parking brake light indicator comes on and I get a scrolling message of "EBD FAULT BRAKE FAILURE". Everything seems to be working fine. Turned off the bike to see if it would reset. Seemed to clear. Drove a block and it is back. So it's 2pm in Florida in July and like 90+ degrees so I decide to let the thing cool down as well as me. That's when I noticed my brake light was on while the bike is turned off. A little further inspection and it appears that my brake pedal is loose and not springing all the way back to the release position. So for now I have a bungee cord secured around a foot peg and the pedal so that I don't kill my battery and burn out my brake lights. Going to get into it tomorrow to see what adjustments can be done. My closest dealer is 40 minutes away so not really thrilled about making a trip for some simple adjustment even though it is under warranty. Thought I would post this up in case other folks run into this. Will post the fix but if anyone knows the fix already please share and save me some time.

I heard of this on the earlier f3's but nothing on the newer models

Its either the switch, pedal height adjustment or some rubber stopper needs to be shaved..Now keep in mind this was the earlier models..

So there is an adjustment screw right behind the passenger foot pegs and it was completely loose and easily spun by hand.

So adjusted the silver nut till brake pedal reset to a place where the brake light was no longer lit. Then tightened brass nut to lock length in place.IMG_20160704_131011171[1].jpg Will see how long that holds. Time for a test drive!
