• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Easy rear tire air....

Have posted the type of chuck that works best to fill the rear tire on a spyder several times before but see there are new faces asking so If you do it from home you can pick this chuck up at Harbor Freight cheap and some with the built in air guage with trigger fill...

I have one of them and it does work great. It is hard to get on straight.

I got a flexable extension that I bought at a HD dealer, works great. One end screws on the tire valve then you can move it any direction and check pressire or add air at the other end.

you can also pick these 90* adapters up at bicycle shops. makes rear tire pressure checks even easier with the gauge seen in the OP.

Here's the thing....

The stem is rubber and flexes. You just start it at the angle pull it over with the chuck till it is straight and push in to fill.

On an RT, I haven't been able to approach the tire valve at that angle because of the body work. Have to slip between the pulley and the wheel with some chucks.

The best solution, I will argue, is one of these from JT. http://spyderstore.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=63&product_id=53. He's a sponsor here.

I made my own version. It balances the air pressure evenly when used on the front tires. Just use one end for the rear tire. The chuck slips onto the stem and locks on it. No fighting with getting the chuck square on the end of the valve stem. When you're finished filling just release the chuck off the stem.

Interesting product. Does it help with access to the rear?

Harley Davidson has the same access problem we do with the RT's on the Ultra and maybe their baggers as well.Anyway they make an extension that will allow you easy access to the valve stem on the rear. last time I checked it was 10.95. The air chuck Chupca showed is great at home, but sometimes you can't find on on the road, use the extension. Thanx for the reminder Chupaca
