Easy?? I still Can't remove the rear trunk!

I'm trying to install Spyderpops Vision Kit.
I've got no problem with Spyderpops, but I need to get the rear end apart and I can't get the damn trunk off. It's supposed to be EASY.
I unlock the trunk (which I needed pliers to move the "easy" unlock turny thing, and then lift up and VOILA, I can't get it off. What am I missing ?

Now push in on the latch, low on the bottom rear. Lift up, unplug the wire, slip aft.

Thanks. Got that, still struggling with seat. And in the instructions for installing the fender lights "tuck all wires away before reinstalling the tire" had taken me roughly 1 hour. The second fender should go a lot easier.
