Met an interesting Spyder Tech who fixed my RT while on vacation. (throttle body failure). He showed me an easy way to check for a code if something goes wrong with your Spyder and you want to see if it threw any codes. He said it's like Crtl-Alt-Delete on your computer. At the same time, you press the Mod-Set-Turn Signal button. He let me try it on an RT that had just came in for service. So, turn the ignition on, and then I pressed all three IN at the same time. Sure enought a code appeared on the screen.
As far as the throttle body problems, he believes this 3rd flash upgrade has now taken care of the problem. I have had only the first two downloaded at my dealer, not the third and according to him that's why mine failed. Sure hope he's right. By the way, kudos to Procaliber Motorsports in Longview Wa. They came and rescued us and except for the 5 day wait for parts, installed them the same day they got them. Good people there.
