• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Easily removable saddlebags?

I like the look of the Corbin bags over the Givis, but I understand they are not easily removed.Does anyone make a quick release bracket for them or are there any other hard bag options out there?

The GIVIs have a number of pluses over the Corbin bags - not including cost or quality of construction - Corbin's are bigger, and are not side opening...

Std GIVI package has a quick release bag, that you can use as a suitcase, the BRP version adds a removable frame and better taillight brackets...

I suggest you make a list and make sure you get the features that matter to you:

Looks
Quality
Removable bags
Removable frame
and ??

Then buy the one with the most points..

To my knowledge, Givi bag systems (from BRP, GIVI or Industries 7) and the Corbin bags are the only ones that are mass produced for Spyders. I had the Industries 7 rack and Givi bags for my Spyder at one time and I liked them because the Givi bags were easily removable.

Brian, I'm curious, why did you switch bag to the soft bags?

Went I went to the no fender look, I started thinking about selling the I7 rack and bags. After I deliberated on it for a while, I decided that I could get more use out of the money I would get from selling the setup than the value I had from owning them. Plus, I was thinking about the Kewlmetal rear rack and I knew I could use the money for that. Once I got the Kewlmetal rack, I got a Nelson Rigg tailbag to carry my stuff and it's been working great for me.
