• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Early morning air flow vs Afternoon air flow

I ride a 2011 RT. When I'm driving down theTurnpike at 4:30am the airflow is smooth not turbulent at all. On my way home from work however, the airflow is crazy turbulent. I find myself constantly adjusting to to stay in one spot as I move and seem to be pushed around a lot too. Any suggestions? and would new air damns solve this??

Thanks
Rich

The changes in the atmospheric conditions, will most likely NOT be helped by the new air dams...
The air is still at that time of day because the Sun hasn't started warming it up yet.

Yep exactly. I am a big auto racing fan and have been my whole life. Race cars run very differently due to ambient temperature, wind, sun and other factors. What you are experiencing is a fact of weather conditions. You just need to be aware and adjust.:doorag:

WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

:dontknow:.....Very high cross winds and traffic are the only factors I've ever noticed................Mike

i would say that at 430 in the morning, your too tired to feel the wind, than at night, your too tired that the wind bothers you

Rich,
Have you done anything to your 2011's front suspension?
A lot of folks that have added BajaRon's Anti-SwayBars have reported very pos8tve results.

I get the same thing here in Colorado I just twist the throttle a little harder :yikes: ride safe...jtpollock

I had a similar problem on Coastal Highway 101 we have strong NW crosswind that gusts through the gaps in trees and buildings. I was all over the lane, very uncomfortable! So changed to the Baha Ron Anti-Sway bar and now the SPYDER is stable and holds the line. The wind still slaps me around, but the ride is stable, best money I've spent in a long time!!:yes:

Like in the morning and evening calms on lakes. I did some of my most memorable fishing during the morning calms. Getting up at 4:00 AM or so was the hard part. Watching the sun rise over a smooth as glass calm lake...it does not get much better.

Now, back to your :spyder2:

Going home the wind is moving in the same direction as when you were leaving home, but you are going in a different direction. ie into the wind as opposed to with the wind.

Hi rworell,

This is why hot air balloons only go up in the early morning or late in the day. Blame it on the sun; or your wife, etc. :banghead:
