• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Early attempt

Cushman called them delivery scooters. The first was the Model 29 Package-Kar (I think). I believe the one shown is a Model 39, which was also used by the military.

If Scotty's brain is like mine, all the trivia is easy, the important stuff goes away.

john
:roflblack: I guess that explains all these headaches. :roflblack: John is right, though, the silly stuff sticks, but the important stuff seems nowhere to be found these days. :dontknow:

The memories of the name Cushman, brings back many pleasant memories. This is how I started riding on two wheels. I had a 1945 (I think) Cushman that I traveled many a mile with my cousin. It was a straight back instead of the sloped shown in the thumbnail and of course only two wheels. I later traded it in for a sloped back and finally an old Indian Scout. Thanks for the memory jog.:ohyea:

Not tupperware - was rolled steel on the tail piece. The front box was usually steel, as well. Plastics were in infancy and 'not to be trusted' yet.
