• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dynamics of a Spyder crash

I couldn't agree more !!:agree::agree: If you are constantly thinking about crashing then you probably will !! Just saying !!

What a depressing thread.

Each of the things mentioned could also happen when driving a sports car, ATV, bicycle, scooter. etc.

If you are always focussed on what might happen, your mind will never be paying attention. When driving any vehicle you must stay in the present. That doesn't mean you shouldn't be aware of escape avenues if some idiot cuts you off or fails to yield... but using this kind of logic leads to wearing life jackets in the bathtub.

Well, my perspective is different because I was hit by a car. I was wearing jeans, hiking boots and a helmet. My shin got the worst of it. I do ride defensibly, but in the case of my crash, it would not have made a difference. I was at a stop light and was plowed into from behind. I am not paranoid, just ready. If you see me in my gear, I don't look like Robocop. With advances in technology, its easy to hide your gear, Companies like Dianese and Force Field make top quality gear that is slim line.

If you search on You Tube on people who review there gear after a crash, they talk about first hand how glad they had gear on, and what they will change.
