• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

They're missing from many Spyders out there, apparently with no harm being done. I figured, however, that they provide some degree of protection so I affixed mine using a little black silicone.

Decorative

They are only decorative. Will cause no harm if missing. In the beginning not all models had them.

Mine also

when I got my 14 RT-S it was missing both dust caps. Replace with the Billet caps from Lamontster!:yes::yes:

Lamont does have them for the inside. They are $42 for a pair. Noticed one of mine was loose the other day.

Thanks, will look into that. I think I paid $17 for the plastic ones from BRP. They are also covered under warranty. But as a previous poster said use a

little black silicone to keep them mounted better. The plastic clips fit loosely and bumps will pop them off.

BRP also has some nice bolt on billet ones with the Spyder logo machined into them. Loosing a plastic dust cap was just an excuse to order a pair. They look good but are a bit more than $5. They will never fall off though as they are bolted on.

Yes, these dust covers do come off! We took a survey at a gas stop of about twenty Spyders when riding last year...several of them had missing dust caps! Our 2014 RT still had them on....so I did what others did and added a little silicone adhesive to the inside just to help them stay on! So far, so good - they're still there!

Enjoy your riding! :D

This is the dust cap I am referring to (looks like they are approx. $5 each):

Rob's

Rob's Motorsports is having a clearance sale on the covers that vstrommer posted a picture of. They are $34.- I just ordered a pair. I had looked at them before and wanted to get them but they were way more.

A Great Thing About This Site

I read about the sometimes loose inner caps here shortly after getting my Spyder. Went right out and applied some black silicone sealer and they're both now tightly affixed.
