• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dumb move by me

Mine has always closed with good click after a good "bump" with my hand or leg when closing. then I always, always put my finger in the crack and tug just to make sure. I've never had one open but there's always a first time. I did have my frunk refuse to close once but that is no big issue, rode on home and had to adust the latch a little and then it closed fine. I guess the repeated closing over time caused the bottom latch to move just ever so slightly down and away from the lid latch just enough to not let it catch.

Believe it or not; the frunklid isn't hooked to any of the warning systems...
Only the top trunk and side storage areas... :gaah:

I generally don't have much in the saddlebags but when I do longer trips I do, when we went to Skyline Drive I had some bulky stuff and the saddlebags were full. I was paranoid so I locked them to be safe.

Sorry you lost your stuff :( But, on the bright side, there wasn't anything wrong with your spyder!!

phyxious...did you by chance get your spyder at riderville in berkeley springs, wv???

Ryding on nice mountain roads (Frazier Canyon) Sunday. Two spyders and lots of sunshine. At the top we stopped and took some photos then headed down as it looked like the weather would change. About 17 miles from Ojai I noticed a orange light blink in the screen of my RT-s. It was the outline of the Spyder then it disappeared. Called Febail on the scala and said keep me in sight in you RR mirror as I might have a problem. He said should we stop and check it out. My response " no, keep going" if it quits I want to be as far down hill as possible. Blinking orange light continued but Spyder continued to run well. Just outside of town we pulled off and stopped. Then the whole screen went orange with the notice "cargo door open". I looked back to see my left saddle bad door wide open. Everything including rain gear was gone. Turned around and headed back to the top hoping no-one else picked it up. After back tracking 20 miles gave up the search and went back to town.
Door never opened while ryding before so did not know what the warning light was about. Should have stopped when it happened. Now much wiser and a little poorer as that left bag's contents cost $110 to replace. :banghead:

Hey MMcc,

Is that Frasier Park and Ojai you are talking about? Notice you are not from this area though. Great riding back there. We just were up at Camino Cielo near Santa Barbara and got the Spyder up on the left wheel. Very night 10 mph turn with a quick up hill.

Thanks,
