• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DUH!!

 That's deeper than I've ever dug into mine so far...

I got ripped off one too many times by untrustworthy mechanics out there to take advantage of a young woman.... I started to learn to work on my own. I even took an auto shop class at the local community college where I got to learn how to rebuild a Chevy 350, do a valve job, and replace the timing belt on an interference motor.

LOL! I try not to touch other people's stuff... I had an ex-friend :cus: threaten to sue us because I tried to help him with his POS car. After I took a look at it he messed with something when I told him that I couldn't fix it and he should take it to a licensed mechanic, which resulted in his motor being thrashed beause the timing belt had skipped (it was an interference motor). He was the idiot that didn't listen to me and he was the idiot that let it go more than 10K miles past the scheduled timing belt service. Needless to say he didn't have a leg to stand on and never sued us. But it scares me to offer my mechanical help to anyone.

No good deed goes unpunished I guess!

I can almost top that. Did as group rider with about 10 other bikes. Being the only :spyder2: I always run sweep. I was getting concerned the lead was doing way over the speed limit. When he got to 100 I started to get real excited. Then I realized my speedometer was on KM not MPH. Think I could have realized if I was going 100 I might have a tad more wind in my face?

Jim

MIne is "almost always" in KPH..
One of my favorite benefits of the Spyder is "when I cross the border..flip the "switch" and MPH is on the dial with miles on the Odometer :2thumbs:

Duh

Ya know what experience is? It's all the times you got it wrong till you got it right. Ditto "Don't ask me how I know."

I'm going to have to experiment with that whole mph/kph selector... it'd be cool to be going down the road doing almost 90... and still be perfectly legal! :D
