One comment about the refund -- you have to give the FAA all your personal info used to register the drone, AND you have to give them a bank account routing number for the refund.

With all all the hacking going on, I will let them keep my $5.

it's 5 freakin' dollars, who cares. the time it takes to unregister is no more worth the time it took me to register it in the first place.

What was the weight threshold; that made registration necessary in the first place? :dontknow:

The original registration requirements included all drones over 0.55 pounds.

Now only drones used commercially will have to be registered.
