• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Not yet but we will be axiously watching for your next post with some install pics and how it works for you, I plan on getting one myself in the near future.

Tried the BRP back rest and didn't like how it pushed me forward. :sour:

Adding some adjustment might make the back rest usable.

Requirements in BRP catalog for this item

I also am anxiously awaiting info on this item!
I am confused to whether it will work for mine
2014 RT-S with heated comfort seat and driver-backrest. I think it will (but can't tell from the catalog numbers) because I bought my RT-S and options new and all at once.

It'll fit...
For a comfort seat; the part # is: 219400683
The regular seats get part #:219400682

I adjusted the bracket under the seat to tilt back about 3/4 of an inch. it made a little bit of a difference. I am hoping the new backrest bracket will give me a little more lean?

backrest upgrade.

One thing I did with my Show Chrome Utopia(?) back rest was remove the stock foam and replaced with a cutout from an old egg crate foem mattress pad and folded it over itself to double up/smooth the egg shape. it is softer and gave me more room and did away with that "push forward" feeling.

BRP adjustable driver backrest upgrade kit

John, let us know when you get it installed. I'm also thinking of getting one and would appreciate your feedback.

install my adjustable back rest on 1/12/16, unable to test it out until two week ago. I love the adjustable backrest, still need to fine turn the best alinement for me but lot better than stock with no adjustment.

I installed my upgrade kit, best I could do was try various settings in the garage as we haven't gotten out yet, winter hasn't made up it's mind to go away. I did find for me, setting the adjustment screw all the way down for max recline makes a world of difference for me, it's real easy to adjust with a T-handle allen instead of standard as it will need a different setting when the wife drives. This appears that it will give me the comfort I need as without the kit it pushed me too far forward.

Adjustable driver backrest

I installed the adjustable backrest support and think it's a great improvement. It was a little tricky getting the pivot pin in with the spring, but doable. We have noticed that my wife has to hold the backrest down when getting on and off because of the spring, which wasn't on the original backrest. But I do like being able the adjust the angle.

Seems like this will be my next farkle. Thanks for the reviews. I have gotten pretty used to my stock one for now, but if it will improve things, $70-80 isn't bad. Probably an easy sell if I find I like the stock setting better.

I got one of the adjustable backrest mounts for the wife's spyder but I am not having any luck getting the zippers to unzip. Anyone have any tips/tricks/ways to get them to unzip???
