drive belt

Anyone know the price of a new drive belt? I have the spyder all apart for winter mods and have been starting it once a week. Well, The belt was touching the exhaust pipe and it melted a little bit. I know, How stupid was that.

I saw that someone was figuring about $480 with labour

Te price in that thread was $325.00. You might be able to find one a little cheaper.

You said you had a burn mark on yours so I doubt that they'll cover that.

Yikes!!! Guess I won't go get a spare belt like my friend had suggested. He thought changing it would be as simple as on a motorcycle. Thank goodness for road-side assistance packaged with my BEST extension.

:agree:I have mine replaced under warranty beacause I had a slight V in the cogs all depends how your dealer will right it up.

I'd give these guys a call. I've used them before and parts are generally discounted. Fast service, too, even if they have to order. Parker Yamaha in Parker, AZ.
