There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Drive belt AWFULLY close to exhaust pipe- Is this really normal?

Been doing a pile of upgrades to my 2008 RS Premier.. Just noticed that the drive belt looks awfully close to the exhaust pipe.. im thinking it will cook once the bike stops hot?.. This normal?..
Looks real close..
I know the tracking of the belt MAY be off but it hasnt run yet this year so it may be tracking there due to reversing.. not sure- Thoughts?..
Cheers
Dave

Check gaskets, hangers, bolts, springs. Seems close to me, too.

Gaskets on the Enhaust flange? Its tight- no leaks.. Ive tried to push the pipe in to inclrease clearance.. Everythings tight and solid.. I don;t get it!.somethings for sure not right..im checking the service manual.. almost wondering if the engine shifted? but seems far fetched

I've got about 3/4" clearance from my exhaust to the drive belt at the closest point. I have an 08 GS. Your belt is running true on the rear sprocket so I would not suspect that your engine has shifted. Seems a bit close to me though.

Thanks Ron. Mines an 08 RS #553 I’m wondering if it will shift once I get back riding... with backing in the garage and winter storage. Maybe it’s shifted. I hope so!
