• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have used this guy's maps before. He (Wayne) is a great guy and lives and rides that area every day. His maps cover all of the popular roads; but even better, he includes roads less traveled that are many times just as good if not better than the popular routes. He can be emailed and will respond. Just click the "Contact" link and scroll down to find the info to contact Wayne.

I do not work for Wayne, or have a financial interest. I simply think the guy does a great job and sells a great product. Check it out and you'll be able to plan great rides throughout that area for your trip.

BOTH

IF YOU DO BOTH.... KEEP THIS IN MIND IF YOU DECIDE TO RIDE THE DRAGON....
IF YOU HAVE AN AFTER-MARKET MUFFLER THAT GENERATES MORE THAN 110 db, THE
SOUND POLICE WILL TICKET YOU... AND IT'S A BIG ONE... :gaah:
MY FRIEND
'PICKELHEAD' GOT ONE, AND IT WAS WELL INTO THE HUNDREDS OF DOLLAR$... :yikes:
I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE GIVING THIS YOUR UTMOST CONSIDERATION...
RIDE SAFELY AND HAVE FUN....

This past May went to Tennessee. Rode the Dragon , Rattler ,The snake, Moonshine , and The Cherohola Parkway (Not Sure Of spelling)
Fastfraser organized an awesome trip! There were six of us. The round trip including riding the whole week was 5200km of smiles (3231miles)
All the spyders ran great with no problems. The best part about our trip was we went to Lamont's home for a visit and had Lamont do laser alignments for us.
We also visited Maggie Valley and went to the museum called Wheels Through Time. Great motorcycle museum and lots of original motorcycles start and run. The owners were starting them the day we were there.

Lots of good roads down south

As long as you're in the area, just do a duckduckgo (*) search of 'best motorcycle rides in <name of state>'. Since the Appalachian mountains start in GA and to to Maine, anything that runs along or crosses them is going to be twisty and fun. Since the south rarely freezes, the road conditions tend to be better than places where frost heaves are the norm. You won't run out of places to ride...

(*) plug for an alternative search engine. If you don't like the fact that google knows all, duckduckgo is an alternative. They use https (so no snooping by the neighbors or the NSA on your wireless traffic) and they don't store any of your search requests. They serve as a proxy and send your request to multiple search engines and compile the results back to you.
