DPS Recall & Hurt Leg

Sending a virtual hug and prayers

Hello Mark, I did not realize you where not on sametime because of your injury. Sorry to hear about your fall and now hospital stay. :pray:Sending prayers and a virtual hug your way. I just got my Spyder out of shop yesterday for the DPS recall, 3K maintenance, and installation of rear speakers. I've missed not riding but have spent the down time researching accessories, still have not made up my mind about the GPS/XM, now looking a back rests, trim, and lights. Our ride together has opened new doors and outlooks for me. TY. Take care of yourself and stay in touch. My thoughts are with you. Rosie

Well...

The leg infection seems to persist & they're admitting me into the hospital for at least tonight. Lots of tests ahead of me.

Thanks for your prayers. My Father can use me anywhere He places me.

Just read this post. Hope and prayers coming your way Mark.

Thanks Rosie. It's turned into a bigger deal than I'd expected. They're treating it like a staph infection now. No fever & white count is normal. Will have another day in the hospital.

By the way, I didn't fall, just banged my leg against the drivers peg. My wife & brother call it a "Spyder bite". :roflblack:

Had to be one Big Spyder, to BITE like that! I hope your still going to be able to go on that ryde your planning.

Get out of that hospital as soon as you can. It took me hours to find a comfortable position to fall asleep only to be woken, so they could suck out some more blood or give me a sleeping pill.:gaah:

This has happened to me several times and it does smart. I just bought some need work boots and the sole is a little slick right now making it easier to slip off the pedal. I saw the mod when it first came out and kept saying I'm going to do that but haven't yet. Each time my shin gets whacked I remember. Doh!

You're in our Prayers

Mark...heal up fast ... Kim & I will keep you in our prayers. you'll be back on the road b4 you know it. So sorry you missed the SITS...We were looking forward to meeting you two... Len

Mark, I just found this thread and prayers are coming your way for a full recovery very soon.

While in SitS I met an 85 year old gentleman, and his wife, from Mexico City. He has developed a hand lever for the parking brake, that is actually very ingenious. The first thought a few of us had was perhaps we could use it for drifting, but in all honesty it would be perfect for this type of situation. It appeared to be very well crafted, and he says he sells them for $100. I am very sorry that I cannot remember his name, and don't have any more details, but hopefully someone on here either bought one, or will remember more.

Well, I'm headin' home sometime this afternoon/evening. Seems to be healing now.

Thanks for you prayers. I'll be at SITS & Lamont's BBQ next year!

God bless,

Trip to Atlanta

Hello Mark.

How is your spider bite doing? Would like to visit you while working in Atlanta on another account next week.

However, I accidentally deleted all my received calls from my cell phone, so I lost your number. I will check BluePages to see if your cell is listed.

Take care.

Rosie

My cell is in BluePages. Talk to you soon.

I've been home since Tuesday night & tried a short ride yesterday. Didn't go as well as I'd hoped it would. Having my leg down causes the blood pressure to go up in the leg & then the "fire" starts. After about 20 minutes, I'm done.

This will take a few weeks...
