• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DPS issues on a 2012 RT?

A friend just called from work; her RT SE is showing the DPS as faulty and she's worried about getting home on it this evening after work. No dealer nearby. If it runs ok, is is safe to ride it home?

There shouldn't be any problem with driving it home. The steering won't be quite as easy. I rode my '09 for a few thousand miles without it working, JMO

For peace of mind I would reseat the fuses/relays in the box under the trunk lid (front). Then, check to see if the dps lite is still lit. If the light is still lit and she is concerned to the point of not giving full attention to the road/drivers, she may want to consider having someone else drive it or flat bedded to her dealer. JMO

Call BRP hotline.

As long as they feel comfortable they should be fine to drive home. As stated they wouldn't have the assisted steering. I would probably stay any highways in case the unit enters limp mode.
